
Hamilton, Ontario - August 3, 2006 - The Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship presented by the Toronto Star began the second half of the 2006 campaign at Mosport’s fast and challenging Karting Academy track this past weekend. The CMI National Team drivers were ready, and they left Bowmanville on Sunday with more hardware to place in their trophy cases. Michael Vincec who had just come back from Valencia, Spain where he successfully participated in Formula BMW’s licensing school, had another banner weekend. On Saturday he qualified his number 5 F1-K Senior on the pole and went on to win the race while also climbing on the podium in Rotax Max Senior. Sunday would see Vincec claim the Pfaff Fast Qualifier award yet again in the headline Formula Senior class, powering his Cameron Motorsports prepared CRG/Swedetech to victory. Kyle Marcelli improved steadily throughout the day and was rewarded with a well deserved third place finish in the same Formula Senior race. In world Formula Junior Jesse Facchini drove a flawless race on his way to winning the finale. As a matter of fact, the podium was all Cameron Motorsports as Joshua Korenyi climbed on the second step followed by Wyatt Van Wart who finished in third after winning his first Pfaff Fast Qualifier award earlier in the day. The World Formula Senior race saw Corey Usher in the lead for a long time as he battled to a strong second place finish. It was a second trip to the podium ceremonies on the weekend for Joshua Korenyi has he and Dylan Gibson were second and third in the Rotax Max Junior class. David Ostella earned his fourth straight Pfaff Fast Qualifier in F1-K Junior. Ostella went on to drive a strong race and win comfortably. Cameron
