MICHAEL VINCEC IS NATIONAL FORMULA SENIOR CHAMPION
"Kyle Marcelli is second, the top two podium spots to Cameron Motorsports"

Hamilton, Ontario - August 15, 2006 - Michael Vincec’s dream rookie season continued today when he earned the title of National Formula Senior Champion at Edmonton’s Stratotech Park. His teammate Kyle Marcelli finished second, earning Cameron Motorsports the two top podium spots in the Canadian National Championships headline class.

Vincec led from flag to flag on his Cameron Motorsports prepared CRG/TM/Swedetech after earning the number one grid spot with a win in the prefinal. “We were fastest in pre-event practice but had to work on the wet setup through some of the heats. We found some speed when it counted, in the prefinal and the final,” said Michael’s tuner Brian Bettencourt after the Championship race.

Kyle Marcelli was a contender all weekend at the Canadian National Championships with a second place in heat one, a fourth in heat two, a second grid spot for the prefinal which he defended for the all important final race. The consistency earned him the second step of the podium.
