CAMERON MOTORSPORTS DRIVERS EARN FOUR SRFKC CHAMPIONSHIPS

"Vincec, Ostella and Korenyi are 2006 Champions"

Hamilton, Ontario - September 27, 2006 - Cameron Motorsports concluded the 2006 season of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship on a high note with great performances that earned the National Team and its drivers four class championships.

Michael Vincec raced to a convincing win in Formula Senior at the Goodwood track, his fourth victory of the season at the wheel of his Cameron Motorsports prepared CRG/TM/Swedetech. He also won in Rotax Max Senior on Saturday after earning the Pfaff Fast Qualifier Award in both classes. Vincec’s win secured him the SRFKC Formula Senior Championship in his rookie season.

Michael also won the F1-K Senior Championship even though he did not take the start of the race on Sunday. His consistency throughout the season ensured that he could not be caught and he chose to sit out the last event and concentrate on the headline Formula Senior class. His performance during the 2006 campaign also earned him a chance to compete for a sponsored ride with the Sunoco Ultra 94 Team that will compete in the 2007 Bridgestone Racing Academy Championship.

His teammate and only real challenger on the racetrack, Kyle Marcelli, could not finish the race due to a rear tire puncture in the opening laps of the Formula Senior final. Kyle was running in second place at the time. Kyle also raced in Rotax Max Senior for the first time on Saturday and climbed on the second step of the podium. A great day for the rookie senior driver.

David Ostalla was the first to take the checkered flag in F1-K Junior. The win, his sixth of the season, ensured David a place in the SRFKC record book. It’s the first time a driver has won every race in a class. The young and talented driver was also the Pfaff Fast Qualifier for the fourth time this season. David dominated all year and easily claimed the season championship.

Joshua Korenyi was the Pfaff Fast Qualifier in both Rotax Max Junior and World Formula Junior. He raced to a third place and well deserved podium in Rotax and a great win in World Formula. Joshua needed the victory in order to eran the season championship, a great performance that didn’t go unnoticed as he was named recipient of the GM Racing Award.

His teammates Jeffery May and Jesse Facchini completed the podium sweep for Cameron Motorsports.

In F1-K Cadet, rookie Garett Grist climbed on the third step of the podium. Garett has consistently improved throughout the season and his now contesting for victories in every race.
