MELISSA CURRAN MAKES FLORIDA DEBUT

"The talented CMI National Team driver heads to the second round of the FWT"

Hamilton, Ontario - January 31, 2007 - Following a successful 2006 Club and Regional racing season, Melissa Curran will begin her 2007 campaign at the Florida Winter Tour. Melissa will be the only Canadian female driver competing in the Rotax Max Junior class.

The 15-year-old starts her eighth season of competitive racing after earning three wins and other podium finishes last year; she also did well on the Regional tour. “Melissa had impressive results in 2006, in addition to obvious talent, she has a professional attitude on and off the track and contributed to the team’s success,” commented the CMI/CRG National Team’s Director of operations Michael Roth.

TCM Racing’s Mike Curran, Melissa’s father said, “We are very thankful to H.W. Picture Cars for their support, it’s allowing us to get an early start this season.” Melissa also just secured another prestigious sponsor for the 2007 season. “I am so excited to add Ross Wemp Leasing to my sponsors this year and with all the support we are sure to have another successful season,” Melissa remarked. The 2007 race season will promise to be another step in the racing career of a very talented and determined young lady.
