May 8, 2008 - Cameron Motorsports will head from its base in Hamilton, Ontario, this weekend for the opening round of the Ontario Regional Karting Championship with twenty-one drivers taking to the track in seven different classes. Many more will be tent-side in representing the Hamilton Regional Kart Club as CRG, F1-K, and Maranello packages take to the track. Leading the way is a powerful Rotax DD2 pairing as Curtis Fox and Michael DiMeo make a full-time switch from six gears to two in bidding for a spot in the Rotax Max Grand Final this fall. Three others will join them in the class as veterans Enrico Menotti, John McCrae and Eric Simon join the fold in the developing DD2 field. CMI's Rotax Senior field will definitely be at the sharp end of the grid as defending Ontario Champion Michael Vincec makes his first Canadian start of the season alongside Australian star Scott Saunders. Melissa Curran and Josh Korenyi make their senior debuts this weekend and Eric Harrison brings the tally to five in Rotax Senior.

Bidding for the overall championship in Rotax Junior will be Cory Luciano. Having made the change to CRG Black during the recent Florida Winter Tour, Luciano enters familiar territory at Goodwood Kartways and will be looking for a large points haul. Jeffrey May will be alongside with new-found experience as he is one of few Canadians racing in the Stars of Karting JICA class this year. Ayrton Triolo will be on board from Saskatchewan after having run the FWT with CMI and fresh from winning his first start of the season back home. Dylan Oribine completes the Junior squad, also having made a start in Florida this winter. A trio represent Cameron Motorsports in Mini-Max as Kurtis Deboer, Nelson Learn and Dante Lerra will be in the newest class in Ontario. In non-Rotax classes, Addison Rayner makes his ProShifter debut with CMI/CRG. After a strong campaign last season which included a trip to the Sunoco Team Ultra 94 Evaluation Day at Mosport, the rookie senior rolls on track Friday as the only shifter pilot under the tent. Other Cameron drivers as heading to Goodwood include: Taegan Poles in 60cc Cadet; Kyle and Aaron Attard in F1K Junior.
